One of the UK’s fastest-growing technology companies, based in West Yorkshire, has sold a 16 per cent stake and appointed a new Chairman as part of an investment deal that accelerates the growth and development of the business.
Oriium, based in Wetherby, provides data management and infrastructure consultancy including managed and hosted services (Cloud Dynamix). For the last two years, the “Channel Only” company has been ranked as one of Deloitte UK’s top 50 fast-growing technology businesses and is seeking a hat-trick at the 2015 awards later this year.
To assist with the company’s growth, Ryan McCarry has become Chairman at Oriium and will help with its ambition to become the pre-eminent channel solutions provider, assisting with strategic acquisitions and growing revenues in excess of £10M.
Mr. McCarry, from Harrogate, is highly regarded in the sector as founder of Sleek Networks, a well-known internet infrastructure provider that was acquired by Adapt in 2013.
Following the acquisition, Ryan spent 18 months as part of the Adapt executive team, integrating the businesses to create a leading enterprise cloud habitat provider in the UK.
Established in 2007 by Chris Kiaie, Oriium’s ethos and business strategy has resulted in growth of over 790% in the last 5 years. The business now employs a team of 35 and re-located to larger premises in Wetherby at the end of last year.

Oriium are hosting an exclusive technology conference on the 2nd July at the world famous Oulton Park Racetrack in Cheshire to mark the appointment.
